Internship ASML: Organization Studies Internship (non-thesis): IT Organizational Change

Introduction

Are you a bachelor or master student in Organizational Studies or related to organizational change? Do you have affection with IT and are challenged by supporting organizational change in a large IT Organization? If yes, this internship might be interesting for you!

Background information

The IT Office of the CIO (OCIO) is a team of around 35 professionals, who are not just front runners of the IT craftmanship but connect and align this with a holistic viewpoint to other business management topics. The IT department of ASML consist of around 4500 people who are responsible of accommodating the growth of ASML by delivering fast, high-quality and innovative IT solutions. In order to improve the IT organization continuously and execute our strategy we want to step-up in our organizational change management capability. 

Your assignment

Within the IT Office of the CIO (OCIO) the Strategy and Innovation department focuses on orchestrating the organizational change within IT. This includes developing, planning and implementing effective change strategies in order to improve the IT organization. As part of the upcoming transformation program this includes improving our Agile Operating Model, changing our organizational culture and behavior and strengthening the relationship with our internal and external customers. We are looking for someone who could support our transformation lead in driving progress towards our transformation goals and take our employees along in the journey. Examples of tasks could be:

  • Driving change in the IT organization by collaborating in organizational change Epics. You assist in ensuring the right people are involved, manage stakeholders, create the implementation plan and effectively implement improvements.
  • Supporting the facilitation and steering discussions, decisions and driving progress.
  • Identifying and mitigating the impact of change within the IT organization, and realizing the required behavioral changes that come with the transformation.
  • Supporting in setting a vision and roadmap for the future IT organization together with the transformation team.
  • Participating in ritual to provide regular updates on the transformation progress;
  • Organizing events to support organizational changes.


We are open to discuss any topics on what might be suitable for both you and us. At the end of the internship, we expect that you, together with the Transformation Lead and team, brought the Transformation program to a higher level. 

Your profile

To be the perfect match for this internship, you:

  • Are a bachelor or master student looking for an apprentice internship, with a study background in Organizational Studies or something related to organizational change;
  • Are passionate about change;
  • Are pro-active and a strong communicator;
  • Exhibit your curiosity and question the status-quo.

This is a bachelor or master apprentice internship for 4 / 5 days per week, for minimum 5 months. The start date is as of February 2024.
 

In order to be eligible for an internship, student enrollment at an educational institute is required.
